Why has Can Do joined Procon Event Engineering?
Integrating Can Do within the group will create significant operational synergies, put us in pole position on the Belgian market and strengthen the position of the German group Procon Multimedia AG as European leader. The aim of this merger is for Procon Event Engineering to raise its profile on the market of corporate events such as conferences or seminars and sports events.
This means that our clients will benefit from an even broader range of equipment and extensive know-how achieved by grouping together technological expertise from the different companies.
In addition, this integration will create a real technological centre for video for the whole Procon Multimedia AG group.
What are the activities of Can Do and LED Screen?
Can Do resulted from the merger, in 2000, of the companies Renting & Development and Groupe Son Privé. Can Do brings together professionals who can offer more than 20 years of tried and tested audiovisual experience and its service is based on the management of quality. Led Screen, a sister company of Can Do, works mainly in international events, hiring out outdoor LED screens and has its own fleet of ‘daylight’ screen lorries.
Will the Can Do standard of service be maintained?
Absolutely. Procon Event Engineering positions itself as a global player with a local profile and the operational synergies will enable us to improve even further the quality of the services provided.
Will my contact’s details change?
All of Can Do’s employees will be moving into the premises of Procon Event Engineering in Wavre. Henceforth, postal correspondence should be sent to Procon Event Engineering, Avenue Edison 12, 1300 Wavre, Belgium.
The e-mail address that used to end with ‘@cando.be’ now becomes ‘@procon.be’. All the old e-mail addresses will, of course, remain active for a certain period of time.
Each person from Can Do will retain his/her mobile phone number. The fixed-line phone numbers and fax numbers will be changed but calls to the present numbers of Can Do will, of course, be transferred to those new numbers for a certain period of time.
What is the administrative impact of this merger on us, as a customer of Can Do?
All Can Do customers have been notified personally by post of the integration of Can Do into the Procon Event Engineering group. Invoices for services provided since 1 January 2007 will all be issued by Procon Event Engineering.
What is the administrative impact of this merger on us, as a supplier of Can Do?
As from 1 January 2007 deliveries of goods or services will have to be invoiced to Procon Event Engineering s.a., avenue Edison 12, 1300 Wavre, Belgium, with the VAT number BE 0440 431 171. Deliveries made before the 1 January 2007 will be invoiced to Can Do s.a. or to LED Screen s.a.
How has this integration of Can Do been carried out?
Procon Event Engineering s.a. bought up the shares of Can Do s.a. and of its sister company Led Screen with effect from 1 January 2007. A merger by takeover is underway among the different companies for the purpose of benefiting from a single, strong image on the market. All of Can Do’s employees will be going to the offices of Procon Event Engineering in Wavre and Paris and the equipment will be stored in the warehouses of Procon Event Engineering.
Will the contact details and legal form of Can Do change?
The trading address of Can Do and Led Screen will move to the offices of Procon Event Engineering in Wavre. The Can Do and Led Screen companies will disappear once the merger is legally completed.
Will the Can Do name and logo disappear?
Yes. The Can Do name and logo will disappear and will be replaced by the name PROCON Event Engineering and its new logo.
What does the Procon Multimedia group represent?
The entire group employs approximately 400 people, with a turnover of EUR 83 million in 2006 and operates a warehouse surface totalling 40,000 m². The group’s 16 subsidiaries and partners place nearly 10.000 different articles at your disposal with a total purchase value of more than EUR 150 million.
Does the Procon Multimedia AG group exercise exactly the same activity as Can Do ?
Yes. PROCON Multimedia AG is a holding company that includes the companies PROCON Event Engineering and CINEGATE.
The technologies for events (lighting, video, LED technology and sound) are represented by the company label PROCON Event Engineering, and the filming and lighting technology for film come under the name of CINEGATE.
Procon Multimedia AG is active not only in Europe, but also in China from its subsidiary in Shanghai, in the Middle East from Dubai, in Hungary from Budapest and in South Africa from Cape Town.
What does Procon Event Engineering Brussels and Paris represent in the Procon Multimedia group?
The Belgian subsidiary with an annual turnover of EUR 21 million employs 130 people and operates a warehouse of 10,000 m2, which represents about 25% of the group. After the merger with Can Do the total sales will be over EUR 30 million and the subsidiary will count more than 170 people

Why did the name of ETF change in November 2006 into Procon Event Engineering ?
ETF is part of the German Procon Multimedia AG group since 2001 and this name change is the result of a close collaboration between the group’s different entities. Our aim in standardising the brand image is to maximise our visibility and know-how on the international scene.
Why did ETF join the Procon Multimedia group in 2001?
The integration into the group has allowed us to offer our customers the widest possible range of equipment possible and the know-how adapted to the demands of the market. Furthermore, this integration has also led to the creation of a group with a real influence and international coverage.
Have the company’s details and legal form been modified?
Only the name changed. All our legal details, such as our VAT, TR and bank account numbers, SWIFT code, IBAN, SIRET numbers, etc., remain the same.
Did this change affect the management or autonomy of the entities in Brussels and Paris?
There is no modification whatsoever to the management nor the management autonomy of the entities in Brussels and Paris. The entire logistics system remains as it is today.
Will the projects now be managed and executed according to the location of the event?
The commercial management and co-ordination of the projects will remain the same.
Only the supply of equipment and resources such as transport and on-site technical teams may be delegated to the group’s various entities in order to guarantee an optimum quality of service.
Will the equipment used for my events still come from the warehouses in Brussels and Paris?
The warehouse in Brussels will remain a central warehouse, major in the development of the group.
The preparation of the equipment in our warehouses will not change and will continue to be managed according to the type of equipment or transport distance to the site of the event.
Did the e-mail address of my contact person change?
The e-mail addresses ending on “@etf.be” and “@étf.fr” became “@procon.be” and “@procon.fr”.
The old e-mail addresses will of course remain active for a certain period of time.
